Sikhs believe in one God, called Vaheguru, who is the creator, sustainer, and dissolver of everything. Vaheguru is not just energy or an idea, but a living, personal Being who loves everyone equally. In Sikhi, God is more than just a father or master. Vaheguru is also like a mother, friend, beloved, and guide, offering love in every form. While beyond creation, Vaheguru is also present in everything around us. Unlike some beliefs where only prophets could experience God, Sikhi teaches that everyone can directly see, hear, and experience Vaheguru through the guidance of the Satguru.
