There is one primal and top Mantar which is referenced in Gurbani, that being the gupt Gurmantar, which is revealed by the Guru when He does Kirpa:
เจนเจ เจฌเจฒเจฟเจนเจพเจฐเฉ เจธเจคเจฟเจเฉเจฐ เจ
เจชเฉเจจเฉ เจเจฟเจจเจฟ เจเฉเจชเจคเฉ เจจเจพเจฎเฉ เจชเจฐเจเจพเจเจพ เฅฅเฉจเฅฅ
I am a sacrifice to my True Guru, who has revealed the Lordโs hidden Name to me. ||2||
This Maha, Mool, Beej Gurmantar is revealed over and over again in the records of Gursikhs: Vaaran, Rehitnamay, etc. For example:

One who recites a Mantra other than the prescribed Gurmantar;
